Joke 1 : A story by a friend from Makasar South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
One day there was a friend just came from Makasar to Jakarta. He walked calmly in the evening around the hotel he stayed, and finally entered into a small traditional restaurant.
Just simple he said to the waitress : "nasi doang !". Nasi is the Indonesian for rice and "doang" in Jakarta regional language can be mean "only". So the waitress in a rather hesitant served him with just a plate of rice and a glass of water.
Unfortunately, the guest in disappointed manner, asked the waitress why she only gave him rice. “Sir, you ask me only rice...."
Apparently, the misunderstanding was connecting of the word "doang". In Makasar "doang" is mean "shrimp". So, the waitress then in hurry brought him that side dish.
